Award Winners
At this year’s ARTERY, we were delighted to celebrate the work and achievements of several individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the field of vascular research. You can read more about the ARTERY24 award winners below.
Lifetime Achievement Award
We were delighted to honour the life and work of Professor Michel Safar and Professor Michael O’Rouke, whose contribution to the field of vascular research will no doubt inspire generations to come.
McDonald Lecture Award
ARTERY Society were delighted to present the McDonald Lecture Award to Professor Pierre Boutouyrie (Université de Paris, France).
Career Development Lecture Award
Dr Alessandro Giudici was awarded the Career Development Award for his lecture entitled “A constitutive modelling outlook on arterial (dys)function: Bridging the gap with the clinic”.
Young Investigator Lecture Award
Dr Melissa Emily Wright from Cardiff University was awarded the Young Investigator Award for her lecture entitled “Neuroendocrine influence of menstrual oestrogen on cerebral blood flow, arterial transit time and beyond”.
