Dr Dariusz Gasecki

Dariusz Gasecki is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Adult Neurology in Medical University of Gdansk in Poland since 2014. He obtained his both MD and PhD from the Medical University of Gdansk, Poland. He is a certified neurologist with academic training and has over 20 years of experience in cerebrovascular diseases as the active member of the Stroke Unit in Medical University of Gdansk. He supported his training in Stroke Medicine and in Neurointensive Care at the University of Muenster, Germany.
Currently Dr Gasecki serves as the coordinator of the Stroke Unit, as well as a member of multidisciplinary team at the Department of Hypertension (Center of Excellence ESH) in Medical University of Gdansk.

He is member of the Polish Neurological Society, Polish Stroke Society, European Society of Hypertension. He was the President of the ESH Working Group of Hypertension and the Brain, 2016-2018.

He is author of more than 30 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and invited speaker in more than 50 lectures at both national and international meetings. His main research interest focuses on arterial stiffness, acute hypertensive response, blood pressure variability and acute stroke.
