Elisabetta Bianchini

Dr Elisabetta Bianchini is a researcher at the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and received her Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering and a PhD in “Automation, Robotics and Bio-engineering” at Pisa University (Italy). In 2011 she received a Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship at Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University (CA, USA), with support from a Fulbright scholarship.

She strongly believes in a multidisciplinary approach for solving problems and has always appreciated the vision of ARTERY Society, which is open to people with different competencies and at different stages of their careers. Her background includes years of experience in vascular ageing assessment by ultrasound imaging and a high interest in technology transfer, with a focus on software medical devices. The transversal approach to innovation that she has had the opportunity to develop throughout her activities offers an original and valuable contribution, particularly by strengthening the bridge between research and practical technology, and by supporting the integration of evidence‑based science throughout this translation process.
