2025 Nominations (with effect from October 2025)
At the next ARTERY Annual Business Meeting (ABM), the following members of the Executive Committee (EC) will complete their terms of office.

Nominations are invited from eligible ARTERY Members to be re-elected or to join the ARTERY Executive Committee. Nominations are welcome for the following positions and will be for a period of two years with effect from the AGM to be held on 17 October 2025:

- Vice-President
- General Secretary
- Treasurer
- 4 Ordinary Members
- Young Investigator Chair (to be elected by Young Investigator members only) (non-voting EC member)
- WG Chair Clinical Research and Practice (non-voting EC member)
- WG Technological Innovation (non-voting EC member)
- WG Knowledge Exchange (non-voting EC member)
Only Full Members who have paid their current annual membership (by Friday 5 September) for the Society are eligible for election to the Executive Committee or as WG Chairs.
Members of the Executive Committee who have served two consecutive terms of Office remain eligible for election to the office of Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer and may serve up to two consecutive terms in the same office.
Any elected member of the Executive Committee who has served for three consecutive terms of office shall only be eligible for election to the offices of Vice-President or President.
Young Investigator Chair
Please note that nominations for this role are open to all Young Investigators (age of 40 or under) who are members of ARTERY Society.
Any person wishing to stand for election to the Executive Committee should provide the following:
- A statement (no more than 250 words), clearly stating which position they wish to apply for and why they wish to stand for the Executive Committee.
- Photograph (head and shoulders).
- Nominations should be supported by two Full ARTERY Members, who should provide a statement (no more than 250 words) outlining why they feel the nominee should be considered for election to the Committee.
Applications should be made online – APPLY NOW. The deadline is 09.00 (BST), Monday 8 September 2025.
In the event of more than two nominations being received for any Officer vacancy, or more than 4 nominations to fill the Ordinary member vacancies, an electronic vote will be held of all ARTERY Members. This will take the following format:
Nomination Timeline 2025
- Monday 8 September – Nominations close at 09.00 BST.
- Monday 15 September – Voting* opens to all Full members who have paid for 2025 membership by Friday 5 September.
- Monday 6 October – Voting closes at 09.00 BST.
- Friday 17 October – Announcement of Election results made at the ARTERY AGM.
*Voting will only be necessary if the number of applicants exceeds the number of vacancies.
- Voting will be open to all Full ARTERY Members, including Retired and Honorary Members (not Student Members). Voting will be electronic and managed by the ARTERY Secretariat (Conference Collective Ltd). Voting will close at 09:00 BST on Monday 6th October 2025.
- The election to the Executive Committee is confirmed by a simple majority of those voting.
- The Executive Committee will appoint the Secretariat (Conference Collective Ltd) to serve as scrutineers and to supervise the conduct of the ballot and the counting of the Votes.
- The results will be announced by the President at the ARTERY Annual Business Meeting (ABM).
- If two or more candidates receive the same number of votes, the final decision will be made jointly by the current President (Carmel McEniery) & President-Elect (Pedro Cuhna).
- The original electronic votes will be kept by the Secretariat for reference for a period of 6 months.
