The work of the YI
Young researchers face many challenges to progress in their career choice, especially in such a highly competitive and changing environment and often feel isolated due to lack of support. What the research world needs instead, is interdisciplinary and international collaborations. The Artery Young Investigator Network aims to offer possibilities for stress-free interaction between peers, as well as more concrete initiatives to support young researchers through their career path.

The Artery Young Investigator Network was launched in 2017, an initiative of a group of young researchers.  We meet informally at medical congresses and our aim is to discuss and collaborate, brainstorming new ideas and initiatives. The group facilitates connections for international collaborations, provides support and advice between peers and actively contributes to the work of the Artery Society, helping nurture the new generation of Arteriologists.

The network is open to all Artery members under 40 you are encouraged to join our mailing list and engage with this group.  You will be responsible for organising a number of events during the annual Artery Meeting liaising with a member of the Local Organising Committee.

The Young Investigator Representative is expected to attend Council Meetings and Telecon calls – usually monthly.  There will be a business meeting held at the annual Artery conferences (Budapest in 10-12 October 2019)
