Membership of ARTERY is open to anyone active in the field of haemodynamics and large artery structure and function and who usually have had experience in the field of arterial structure and physiology.The Society promotes the advancement of knowledge and dissemination of information concerning the pathophysiology, pharmacology, epidemiology, detection, investigation and treatment of arterial structure and function.

The membership subscription fee is €70.00 for full members and free of charge to student members.

The annual subscription fee includes a subscription to ARTERY RESEARCH and a reduced registration fee at the annual meeting. Applications will be reviewed by the Executive Committee each year usually in January, June and September/October.

Our annual meetings cover fully the expanding list of topics relating to large artery structure and function through keynote lectures, lively debates, presentations of peer-reviewed abstracts and practical demonstrations. The meetings offer plenty of opportunities for scientific interaction and discussions with dedicated scientists in the field.

Student Membership is open to PhD students/trainees working in the field of field of haemodynamics and large artery structure and function who have not yet published sufficiently to qualify for Ordinary  Membership. The maximum term for student membership of the society shall be 5 years. Once students have completed their PhD and have the required number of publications, they will be required to re-apply for Ordinary Membership.

There is currently no subscription fee for Student Membership of Artery. Students are entitled to complimentary issues of the journal Artery Research.

Honorary membership may be awarded, where appropriate, to distinguished scientists.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals in the field in the field of field of haemodynamics and large artery structure and function research and practice who wish to join ARTERY and support it in its aim of strengthening research and clinical practice in this area.


How to become a Member

Applications for membership are considered by the Executive Committee each year usually in January, June and September/October. Prospective new members should submit the following documents to the Secretariat

• Application form (click here to download), to include:
       o Supporting names of two members of the Society
       o Confirmation of student status (for Student Membership applications only)
• Curriculum vitae
• List of key publications

Once the application has been approved by the Executive Committee, the applicant will receive confirmation that they have been accepted as a member and will be sent a payment form for the annual membership fee (Ordinary Members only).

Application forms, together with your CURRICULUM VITAE and a LIST OF YOUR KEY PUBLICATIONS should be sent to:
